GST Quality Certification
GST has established several innovative business practices to ensure superior performance on our contracts. Focused primarily on guaranteeing customer satisfaction, they define our plans and approaches, establish tools and processes necessary to carry them out, and ensure availability of necessary technical and financial resources. These practices include:
- Quality Management System -- registered as ISO 9001:2000 compliant includes processes for company-wide quality assurance.
- Project Management and Software Development Processes -- Global Science & Technology, Inc. (GST) has achieved CMMI® Maturity Level 3 for its NOAA CLASS Program. This rating confirms that GST’s West Virginia Division has established effective, well-defined project management and software development processes and procedures that are in compliance with the 18 CMMI process areas included in the appraisal.
Capability Maturity Model Integration® (CMMI®) provides guidelines for process and product improvement. CMMI® was developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University. It assesses and evaluates organizational and project maturity at five levels. GST's projects follow the project management principles outlined by the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). PMI is a leading membership association for the project management profession. Several of GST's project managers are certified Project Management Professionals (PMP®).
