GST's Commercial Services Division is the company's newest business sector. The Division boasts a broad repertoire of corporate services and products adapted specifically for the commercial market, many of which are extensions of NASA research. WAFS/MetLab and DirectMet® lines of commercial weather systems provide high-quality imagery to meteorological customers around the world. The Commercial Services Division applies expertise developed through our diverse customer experience and involvement in the commercial market, enabling GST to provide practical technology solutions in the most cost-effective way.

GST Companies and Spin-offs

GST is continues to expand our services to provide our customers with the latest in technical and scientific advancements. One way we are expanding our skill-base is through the acquisition of companies with a high level of specialized expertise. As products are developed and gain momentum, we spin-off a company to manufacture and market them. GST is proud to count them among our spin-offs.

Global Protocols, Inc. (GPI) was spun-off from GST in 2003. Through many years of research and development projects in wireless networking for federal, military, and commercial customers, GPI has assembled an elite staff of experts in stressed wireless protocols and wireless network design, specializing in implementation of the Space Communication Protocol Standards (SCPS) over wireless and hybrid networks, including satellite, terrestrial wireless (802.x), and mobile wireless telemetry.
