Global Science &
Global Science & Technology, Inc. (GST), a leading innovator of scientific products and services for satellite and weather systems, was awarded the government-wide One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) from the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). GST was selected to provide the government best-value solutions for complex professional service requirements in the Small Business (SB) category in Pool 4. The OASIS SB award has an estimated value of $1.3 billion per year for the OASIS Small Business community.
OASIS was developed by the GSA to give all federal government agencies the ability to procure complex professional services for services considered too difficult to procure with Multiple Award Schedules (MAS). OASIS is usable under any contract type (cost reimbursement, fixed price, time and materials, etc.). It is designed to address multiple professional service disciplines; projects that create an environment of elevated risk due to their unanticipated nature; projects that require flexibility for all contract type task orders and other direct costs at the task order level; and projects that are difficult to specify or quantify prior to award. OASIS has no program ceiling, a five-year base and one five-year option, and provides for long-term planning for complex program requirements. Through OASIS, agencies can plan socioeconomic set asides to meet their goals and support 8(a), HUBZone, and SDVOSB direct awards (see GSA OASIS website).
GST was selected for Pool 4 of the Small Business category for Research and Development in Biotechnology (NAICS Code 541711) and Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering and Life Sciences (NAICS Code 541712) for companies under 500 employees (see GST OASIS contract). The scope of GST’s OASIS core disciplines include Program Management Services, Management Consulting Services, Scientific Services, Engineering Services, Logistics Services, Financial Management Services, Ancillary Support Services, and Ancillary Support Services for IT.
