BriefNet
BriefNet is a self-contained, pilot-briefing and production system that automates the creation of finished meteorological products from input data (usually WAFS data via ISCS using a WAFS/MetLab ingest system), then makes those products available to end-users. The system includes browser-based technology to view the finished product.
Pilots or other end users can obtain weather information and briefings from a browser on any PC that has access to the network via id and password. While briefings can still be conducted from a central location, BriefNet provides the flexibility to disseminate the information to users who may be located elsewhere.
Major Features:
- Browser-based user interface
- Allows briefings over the Internet or Local Area Network
- Password control to manage user access
- Cost-effective solution to provide pilot and dispatch briefings
- Remote user can print briefings in color on their local printer
- Directly interfaces to the ISCS, SADIS and GTS data networks
- Briefing content is configurable and can include Surface Weather, Satellite, and Radar graphics, Airport Information, and NOTAMs
