GST's broad capabilities in research support involving systems design, research support, concept development, requirements analysis, forecasting, and testing helps ensure the success of science projects and applications. Our knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies and trends enable us to offer innovative system development to meet science applications requirements. Some of our capabilities include:
Microelectronics and MEMS Design and FabricationGST is involved in the formulation, design, and implementation of microelectronic devices in support of Federal Government laboratories that are designing and fabricating next-generation sensor and sensor systems for space and ground applications. Science and Research Laboratory OperationsGST supports NASA in the design and development of laboratories that are able to address basic and applied engineering problems related to the formulation and design of future sensor and spacecraft systems. Advanced Scientific Data VisualizationGST supports NASA in creating, enhancing, and building high-resolution, 3-dimensional images and videos of Earth and space scientific research activities. Science Instrument Development, Assembly, and TestGST is involved in supporting the formulation and design of advanced remote and in situ instrumentation for NASA space and Earth research missions. Remote instrumentation includes detector fabrication, instrument cooling, and performance testing. Science Research and AnalysisGST supports NASA as it conducts basic research to understand the fundamental nature of radiation, matter, and their interaction. GST has been uniquely involved in studying cosmic background radiation, deep space radiation, and Earth climatology. Science Data Ingest, Display, and Analysis SystemsGST has been deeply involved in scientific data ingest, processing, and analysis activities for space- and ground-based systems. Experience includes system modeling, design, algorithm development, performance assessment, visualization, and testing. Earth and Space Science Remote Sensing and Data MiningGST has supported many aspects of space and Earth remote sensing from detector design and development, to sensor electronics and cryogenics, to the development of algorithms, to detecting, identifying, and characterizing remotely sensed phenomena and objects.
