Duties:
• Set up and repair of computers and related equipment

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
• A.S. or B.S. degree in Information Systems or related field and 1 year of hands-on experience with computers and networking. 2-4 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
• Demonstrated skill working with entry-level users to resolve problems
• PC Hardware diagnostics/troubleshooting
• Printer/Scanner diagnostics/troubleshooting
• Desktop software troubleshooting
• Document Management software installation/configuration and troubleshooting
• New PC, printer, scanner, plotter installation/configuration
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting network switches, firewalls, and routers
• Extensive state-wide travel (West Virginia) is required. (3-4 days per week). A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is also required
• Limited overnight travel required

• A+, Network+, and Security+ certification is preferred
• Experience with SonicWall Firewall
• Cisco networking equipment experience

Position Summary:
The Project Manager will directly provide contract staff support in the overall technical and administrative management of the contract work to meet the technical, administrative, and legal requirements of the contract.

Primary Duties:
• Establish and approve work plans and schedules
• Monitor staff performance to meet government requirements and ensure on-time performance of tasks
• Direct, track, and ensure contractor’s performance in accordance with the contract
• Acquire necessary corporate resources for the contract needs and requirements
• Direct and monitor subcontractors supporting this contract
• Provide management and control reporting to meet contract requirements

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
• Master’s degree or equivalent in a Physical Science, Engineering, or Mathematics from an accredited institution

• Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible technical management experience, including:

Global Science & Technology, a growing scientific and high-technology firm, is seeking a Senior Staff Support Meteorologist to support the NOAA Office of the Federal Coordinator for Meteorology (OFCM) in Silver Spring, MD.

Position Summary:
The Senior Staff Support Meteorologist will provide program support within the OFCM interagency coordinating infrastructure.

Primary Duties:
• Lead, manage, and assist with groups, committees, workshops, and conferences. Groups include the Working Group for Observational Data (WG/OD), Working Group for Disaster impact Assessments and Plans (WG/DIAP), and Space Weather Operations, Research, and Mitigation (SWORM).
• Interface effectively with operational meteorologists, research scientists, and staff personnel to acquire input on a wide range of meteorological topics.
• Assist the contract manager and contractor project manager in establishing work plans and schedules and in ensuring on-time completion of all tasks.
• Organize inputs from a wide variety of agencies, including up to 15 Federal agencies, for the consideration/review of the appropriate OFCM-sponsored program council/committee/working group/joint action group.
• Perform meteorological studies.
• Draft technical documents, directories, records of actions, and reports for publication within the Federal meteorological community.
• Attend the appropriate program council/committee/working group/joint action group meetings and consult with members through the completion of the project.
• Assist Executive Secretaries and/or Chairs of working groups and committees as needed, performing tasks including attending meetings, taking notes, drafting Records of Actions, coordinating input

Required Education:
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in meteorology, oceanography, or atmospheric science.

Required Experience/Skills:
• At least 8 years of operational experience as a meteorologist or oceanographer
• At least 2 years of staff/project-level experience
• Ability to interact effectively with Federal weather community to work towards project goals
• Ability to complete all assignments in a professional and independent manner
• Ability to perform some travel to support forums and meetings
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment

Desired Experience/Skills:
• Previous NOAA experience
